Thank you sweetheart

The thing about writing a blog is that it's all about me. What I think, what I want to chat about, me me me. This may give the impression that my life is all about me and my kids and that I am doing it all alone - but, THANK GOD, that's not the case at all.

The other adult in the house does a lot of the worst parts of parenting. He's the one who for the last 3 months has been getting up somewhere between 4 and 5am to give Little-L a bottle, and then sometime between 6 and 7am when Little-L wakes for good. He does this without complaining, so that I can have more sleep. Pretty much every morning.

He's the one who takes care of washing the non-disposable cloths I insist on using to clean the kids' bottoms.

He's the one who at 10pm, goes down four flights of stairs because we've remembered we did a load of the kids' washing earlier in the evening that needs to be hanged out.

He's the one who happily takes over in the evenings when I've had a rough day and need some time to myself. No matter how rough his own day has been.

And, he's a father who makes his kids laugh, who takes them to the park, who plays with them, who throws them in the air ... he's everything a kid could want for a dad.

Thank you for all this sweetheart, and happy (slightly late) Father's Day!
