Saturday snapshot

So with the weather being so warm, we've started geocaching with the neighbours. Armed with coordinates and a GPS, we've headed off into different woods and fields around the village, looking for hidden treasure.

The first few expeditions we found nothing. (But lovely walks were nevertheless had, and forest BBQs, and the kids skated on frozen water in rectangular pits hewn by hand out of the rock to make the fountains and stone bridges in the surrounding villages and towns.)

Today we set off again, looking for a monster in a box.

As Lukan said, we walked forwards and forwards and forwards...

Ancient technologies were resorted to...

Cliffs were passed with prehistoric (-looking) art...

We kept going forwards...

Past ice sculptures...

Still forwards...

And found some hidden goodies!

Energy restored, we walked forwards and forwards again until we reached, +/- 20 metres, the right longtitude and latitude...

Where we scrambled and scrabbled and stumbled and finally uncovered...

A treasure box! A treasure box full of...

....monsters!!!

Yay!
