This is what you might think a weekend walking with donkeys would be like, and you'd be a bit right, but the bigger problem is stopping them from pushing you aside to march into the fields and eat all the crops. Sorry to all the farmers whose land we went past. But donkeys are strong! And determined!
We also discovered that walking across a grassy meadow is not really a good idea with donkeys. Unless you want to stop every 2 seconds.
But overall, it was fun, and the kids loved it, from the brushing to the riding to the feeding. Plus not having to carry a backpack is always a good thing.
