Compare and contrast

At a friend's house when Téo was four, where the kids were playing pirates:

- (Friend's son) Choose your weapon!

- (Téo) What's a weapon?

In my kitchen the other day, when Lukan pointed his battery-operated toy drill at me:

- I'm killing you with my machine gun!

------------

What gets me is not that Lukan knows about weapons at a younger age than his brother, but that at three he knows enough to specifically choose a toy that most sounds like a machine gun.

Where has heard a machine gun? Or even seen one??

The mysteries of the Y chromosome will never be yours to fully understand. Your observations may yield a clue or two but there is always surprises in store for those suck with only X's!

Chuckle, chuckle.
